Softedge Studio side bowl

Compact yet versatile, the SIDE BOWL is just the right size for a scoop of something sweet — like panna cotta, crème brûlée, rice pudding, or ice cream. It also shines with meze-style servings: dips, rillettes, olives, soft cheeses like burrata or stracciatella, a handful of nuts, or a scatter of small fruits such as cherries, grapes or berries. It’s equally handy for condiments and sauces alongside mains or — beyond the table — for catching trinkets, toys, coins, or keys. A small bowl with no shortage of useful charm.

Designed on Bundjalung country, Australia.
Made in Hasami, Japan

⌀220 x H16mm / ⌀8.7 x 0.6in

softedge products are designed with durability and daily use in mind. By following these care considerations, you'll extend the lifetime of your pieces and, in turn, minimise environmental impact.

MICROWAVE
softedge porcelain can withstand high temperatures and is safe for microwave use. However, direct heat and sudden temperature changes may cause thermal shock, which, over time, can damage and crack your pieces. Always place hot items onto wood, cork or cloth and let them cool naturally before putting them in the fridge or freezer.

DISHWASHER
All softedge porcelain is dishwasher safe. To safeguard against damage during a wash cycle, gently place each piece on the racks, leaving a generous space between different shaped items.

HANDWASHING
If you don’t have a dishwasher or need to clean oversized items, wash them by hand using a natural detergent and warm water before carefully stacking them in a dish rack to dry, ensuring adequate space is left between each piece.

STAINS
softedge porcelain products are finished with a food-safe, stain-resistant glaze. However, we always recommend washing shortly after use to avoid anything unwanted sticking around and warranting the use of harsh detergent.

For more stubborn stains, use a little water and a magic eraser to gently remove.

SILVERWARE MARKS
Silverware markings may appear over time. To remove, scrub lightly with a combination of detergent and baking soda or Bar Keepers Friend and a soft cloth.

STORAGE
When stacking softedge plates or bowls, small scratches may occur where glazed and unglazed surfaces come into contact.

To avoid scratches, ideally, your porcelain will either be stored in plate racks or with linen/felt between each item. Alternatively, we recommend stacking the plates face-to-face and base-to-base.
